Deepening Our Comprehension of the Natural System

An ecosystem is the natural system created by a community of living beings and its interaction with its external environment, the atmosphere, the hydrosphere, and the lithosphere. As it matures, the production and decomposition of its organisms evolves
towards equilibrium, and the circulation of substances stabilizes.

Environmental preservation is acknowledged today as a worldwide common purpose: the delicate balance of many ecosystems is threatened by the activities of human life. Yet, much remains to be both elucidated and accomplished in order to help maintain and restore their stability.

At NIT, we have pursued basic research on regional ecosystems supported by the most recent information available regarding the natural world. Our future purpose is to deepen our comprehension of natural systems by means of interdisciplinary research involving physics, biology, and chemistry.

We need to deepen our comprehension of natural systems in order to conserve and restore these species of living beings.
